The #JABBA Serverlist (list.jabbaark.com) is run by the #JABBA ARK community. This page says what the site stores about you, how long it keeps it, and how to have it deleted. There are no ads, no analytics scripts and no third-party trackers on the site.
What we store
Browsing the list
Nothing is stored about you for reading the list. The server keeps a count of recent requests per IP address in memory for rate limiting; it is gone within minutes and never written to disk.
Discord login
Login uses Discord's OAuth2 with the identify and guilds scopes. We store:
- Your Discord user ID, username, display name and avatar, so the dashboard can show who is logged in and tie listings, reviews and shop balances to you.
- The Discord access token, on our server only, so the Add Server picker can read the list of Discord servers you are in. It is never put in a cookie or sent to your browser. Logging out revokes it at Discord.
- A session cookie (HttpOnly) that lasts up to 30 days. Logging out deletes the session.
The list of Discord servers you are in is read from Discord when you open the Add Server picker, held in memory for 5 minutes, and not written to disk.
Listings
A server listing holds what the owner typed: server name, invite link, ad text, platform, game, rates, tribe size, region, wipe dates and the Discord user ID of whoever submitted it. The public list shows the ad and the invite, never the owner's Discord ID. Votes and bumps are stored as Discord user IDs so each person counts once. A listing stays on the list for 45 days after its last bump, then it is removed. Join clicks are counted per listing per day for 90 days with no record of who clicked.
Reviews
A review stores your star rating, your text, your Discord display name, your Discord user ID, and a salted one-way hash of the IP address the review came from (used to catch owners reviewing their own server). The public page shows the name, the stars and the text only. Reports on a review are stored with the reporter's Discord user ID. You can delete your own review from the server's ad while logged in using Delete mine. Reviews can remain associated with a server after its owner removes the listing and can reappear if the same server is listed again. This prevents owners from erasing review history by deleting and resubmitting an ad. Staff can also remove reviews.
Join clicks
When you click Join, the site counts the click for the listing's owner. To count each person once a day, it keeps a salted hash of your IP address, the listing ID and the date in memory for 24 hours. The hash is never written to disk and the raw address is not kept.
Shop balances and the Partner Program
Promo Credits and Channel Tokens are stored against your Discord user ID. The Partner Program counts invites to the #JABBA Discord: for each person who joins through an invite, the bot stores the inviter's Discord user ID, the invited member's Discord user ID, and when they joined or left. Those records come from the #JABBA Discord server itself and stay while the bot runs there.
Other services your browser talks to
- Discord's CDN serves avatars and server icons shown on the page, so Discord sees your IP address for those image requests, as it does for any Discord image.
- The ONLINE / OFFLINE badges on the #JABBA cluster cards come from the #JABBA stats bot, another server run by us. Your browser asks it directly for the server status.
Where it lives
The site and the bot run on Railway. Listings, reviews, sessions and balances are in one data file on a Railway volume. Staff of the #JABBA Discord can see listing and review records in order to approve, moderate and support them.
Deleting your data
You can delete your own listings from the dashboard and your own reviews from the server's ad at any time. To delete everything we hold about you (listings, reviews, votes, shop balance, session), or to ask what we hold, open a ticket in the #JABBA Discord or write to the contact below. Staff handle requests by hand and aim to finish within 30 days. A deleted listing can be resubmitted later; a deleted review is gone for good.
Age
You need a Discord account to log in, so you must meet Discord's minimum age (13, or higher where your country requires it).
Changes
If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
